WHY DID YOU CHOOSE UNT Health COLLEGE OF PUBLIC HEALTH?
I chose the UNTHSC College of Public Health because of its commitment to interdisciplinary
collaboration, innovation in public health research, and dedication to addressing
healthcare disparities. The program’s emphasis on evidence-based practice and data-driven
solutions aligns with my goal of integrating clinical medicine with public health
to improve patient outcomes.
HOW DO YOU PLAN ON APPLYING THE KNOWLEDGE YOU GAIN TO YOUR FUTURE CAREER?
My goal is to bridge clinical medicine and public health research, particularly in
the areas of nutrition, obesity, and metabolic disorders. The rigorous training at
UNTHSC equips me with the analytical skills to conduct epidemiological research that
informs healthcare policies and interventions. Ultimately, my training will enable
me to contribute to both clinical practice and public health research, ensuring that
evidence-based strategies are implemented to improve healthcare access and quality
for underserved population
