ABOUT DANNA
Master of Public Health Hometown: Fort Worth, TX |
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE UNT Health COLLEGE OF PUBLIC HEALTH?
I chose UNT Health CPH because it’s close to home and has a good sense of community.
When I came for a tour, I learned how involved and supportive the professors are and
that they genuinely care about their students. The environment here is welcoming and
gave me a sense of belonging. The academics go above and beyond, and I knew I wanted
to be somewhere that would challenge me and help me grow. This felt like the right
place to do that.
HOW DO YOU PLAN ON APPLYING THE KNOWLEDGE YOU GAIN TO YOUR FUTURE CAREER?
I want to be part of work that actually makes a difference in the community. Public
health changes everyday. I’m especially interested in epidemiology and how it helps
us understand and respond to real-world health issues. No matter what job I end up
in, I want to apply what I’ve learned and be part of meaningful solutions.
