WHY DID YOU CHOOSE UNT Health COLLEGE OF PUBLIC HEALTH?
I wanted to explore the important side of healthcare, public health. As a hopeful
future medical student and physician I think it’s essential to understand the foundation
that is public health in order to better serve my patients and community.
HOW DO YOU PLAN ON APPLYING THE KNOWLEDGE YOU GAIN TO YOUR FUTURE CAREER?
I plan on using everything I learn in medical school and my future practice by looking
at not only the symptoms being presented but also the bigger picture of what could
be contributing like lived environment, socioeconomic status, and access to healthcare.
Things are not so black and white, so looking at the social determinants is essential.
