Kylie Jones publishes first-author paper on postpartum health
Kylie Jones, MS, CBTS alum and research assistant in the Department of Physiology
and Anatomy, published her first, first-author article titled, “Postpartum Dams Exposed
to a Low-Resource Environment Display Neuroinflammation, Elevated Corticosterone,
and Anhedonia-like Behavior,” in the Journal of Applied Physiology.
Kylie’s paper explores behavioral and brain health in new mothers, particularly those facing poverty. This paper provides details on outcomes such as postpartum depression and brain inflammation.
