The Institute for Health Disparities (IHD) was established at UNT Health as a research institute dedicated to addressing health disparities through the advancement of biomedical sciences and health professions. In response to the rapid expansion of specialized knowledge in biomedical fields and the persistent health challenges faced by certain populations in the U.S., IHD focuses on fostering a multi-disciplinary and skilled biomedical science workforce. IHD aims to bridge this gap, ensuring a more inclusive approach to resolving health disparities
