UNT Health Reorganization
On February 19, the University of North Texas System Board of Regents approved a strategic reorganization that will transition UNT Health from six colleges to four integrated colleges. This streamlined structure will enhance interdisciplinary collaboration, improve operational efficiency, and allow us to reinvest in high-quality instruction, hands-on learning, and innovative health workforce preparation.
What This Means -
- No academic programs are being eliminated. All programs will continue as planned.
- Increased interdisciplinary learning aligned with today’s team-based healthcare environment.
- This transition allows for continued investment in academic quality and student support services.
Program Realignments
- Public Health and Physician Assistant Studies will move to the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM).
- The Doctor of Physical Therapy, M.S. in Lifestyle Health Sciences, and M.S. in Clinical Nutrition will move to the UNT System College of Pharmacy, which will be renamed the UNT System College of Pharmacy and Health Professions effective June 1, 2026.
These changes reflect our commitment to being Better Together—ensuring strong academic programs and meaningful student experiences.
