NURS 6603 Research & Evidence Based Practice

D

In this assignment, students will critically evaluate a peer-reviewed research article by identifying and analyzing key research components. The critique will focus on the clarity and appropriateness of the article’s purpose statement and research question, the type of study design employed, and any theoretical or philosophical framework utilized. Students will also assess the article’s data collection methods, identify variables and their levels of measurement, and interpret any reported statistical concepts such as measures of central tendency, dispersion, and normal distribution characteristics. The goal is to assess the internal consistency of the study’s design and methods, as well as its relevance to nursing and health sciences. Student submissions will be evaluated for their ability to synthesize complex research elements into a clear, cohesive critique. The emphasis will be placed on analytical thinking, correct interpretation of study methodology, appropriate application of statistical and research concepts, and scholarly writing. Each student critique will be assessed for accuracy, depth of understanding, alignment with learning objectives, and clarity of expression. Feedback will be provided to guide improvement in research literacy and critical appraisal skills.

Discussion Board

NURS 6101 Advanced Neurobiology and Pharmacology

D

Discussion Assignment over - The Molecular Pony Express Neurotransmission, requires students to explore the process of chemical neurotransmission, specifically the three sequential stages of the neurotransmitter release, synaptic transmission, and postsynaptic receptor activation. The students will describe each phase using their own words and reflect on how dysfunction at each stage might contribute to psychiatric symptoms or conditions. Students will be required to support their responses with scholarly evidence from peer-reviewed articles or clinical guidelines. Additionally, they will engage with their peers by responding to at least two classmates' posts, offering insights, constructive feedback, or alternative perspectives, further enhancing their understanding.
