Health Research and Innovation Center

The Health Research and Innovation Center is UNT Health’s home for innovation, research support, and translation.

Building on that foundation, the HRIC expands the Division of Research’s offerings by integrating technology transfer, entrepreneurship, preclinical research, and clinical trial support into a single, unified center.

The HRIC brings together expertise and resources that address the challenges faculty face in preclinical and clinical research, ranging from study design and regulatory navigation to data analysis, grant preparation, and clinical trial support. By offering targeted education, expert consultation, and access to essential services, the center is designed to empower investigators to accelerate groundbreaking discoveries into clinical application, secure competitive research funding, and elevate our institutional reputation nationally and internationally.

Once fully implemented, The Health Research and Innovation Center offers support in five core areas:

Through these combined core areas, the HRIC aims to catalyze more high-quality research, foster collaboration across disciplines, and translate discoveries into meaningful improvements in health outcomes for our patients and communities.

UNT Health will be launching a national search for the founding leader of the Health Research and Innovation Center. This search will identify a visionary leader who can guide the center’s mission, foster collaboration across disciplines, and position HRIC for long-term success.
