The Division of the Chief of Staff (DCOS) serves as a strategic hub for alignment, execution, and community impact at UNT Health. Guided by our commitment to connecting strategy to action, risk to resilience, and community to purpose, we partner across the university and broader community to ensure priorities are advanced with clarity, accountability, and collaboration.

The division oversees four key areas of focus:

  • Strategy & Planning – Driving institutional priorities forward through integrated planning, performance tracking, and alignment with the UNT System and Board of Regents.
  • Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) – Anticipating and managing risks to safeguard the health science center’s mission, people, and operations.
  • Project Management Office (PMO) – Providing tools, expertise, and oversight for strategic and special projects, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, on scope, and with measurable impact.
  • Community Engagement – Building strong, meaningful partnerships with community stakeholders to enhance UNT Health’s visibility and strengthen our role as a trusted partner in advancing health and well-being.

Together, these functions reflect our commitment to excellence, collaboration, and innovation—ensuring that UNT Health remains bold, resilient, and prepared for the future
