
Dr. Lisa Nash
Vice President, Clinical Affairs, Dean, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine
Lisa R. DO, MS-HPEd, FAAFP, is vice president of clinical affairs, dean of the Texas Collede of Osteopathic Medicine, and a professor in TCOM's Department of Family and Osteopathic Manipulativ Medicine at UNT Health Fort Worth. TCOM offers degrees in osteopathic medicine, physician assistant studies and public health. Prior to serving as TCOM's ninth dean, she served as senior associate dean for Educational Programs and Graduate Medical Education in the college. Dr. Nash is also the first female and first TCOM alumnus to become dean. She is a 1991 graduate of TCOM, completed her family medicine residency at the Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas in Fort Worth, and obtained board certification in family medicine.
Dr. Nash grew up on a farm in rural North Texas and completed her undergraduate training at Weatherford College and Texas Christian University. As her academic career advanced, she completed her Master of Science in Health Professions Education at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for the Health Professions.
While at the University of Texas Medical Branch from 1998 to 2010, Dr. Nash taught and worked as the director of the family medicine residency and developed the rural training track. In 2010, Dr. Nash was recruited back to TCOM, where she served as TCOM's senior associate dean for educational programs and GME before stepping into the role of interim dean. As senior associate dean, she was responsible for all GME programs affiliated with UNT Health as well as oversight of the TCOM Advisory Colleges program, residency match strategies and the Faculty Development Center.
