CAS hosts 2023 Texas Association of Biological Anthropologists Annual Meeting

Biological Anthropologists from across Texas convened at The University of North Texas Health Science Center on Nov. 4 for the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Texas Association of Biological Anthropologists.  

HSC’s Center for Anatomical Sciences hosted the annual meeting. Dr. Scott Maddux, Physiology and Anatomy served as chair of the TABA Scientific Program Committee. Drs. Bernadette Perchalski, Lauren Gonzales, Elizabeth Cho and Kate Losciotto, all faculty members from the Department of Physiology and Anatomy, also served on the committee.  

Physiology and Anatomy students Lyndee Ward, Baonhu Tran, Caroline Counts and Indya Thompson presented their research during the poster session. You can view their abstracts on the TABA website.

TABA provides opportunities for undergraduates, graduate students, professors and professionals to share research, collaborate on new projects and engage with fellow biological anthropologists in Texas.
