Cephas Appiah receives Best Review Article honor from APS

Congratulations to Dr. Cephas Appiah, recent Integrative Physiology graduate, on a well‑deserved honor!
His article, “Chronic Intermittent Hypoxia‑Induced Hypertension: The Impact of Sex Hormones,” has been named Best Review Article by the American Journal of Physiology – Regulatory, Integrative, & Comparative Physiology.
Authored with Dr. Jennifer Gardner, Dr. George Farmer, Dr. Rebecca Cunningham and Dr. Tom Cunningham, the article will be recognized at the American Physiology Summit in Minneapolis later this month.
“This recognition affirms the significance of our work and encourages me to continue pursuing research. The rigorous scientific environment, access to excellent mentorship, and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration at CBTS made this achievement possible,” Dr. Appiah said.
