Laszlo Prokai, PhD, DSc, has received his second Fulbright Specialist Award from the U.S. Department of State to teach and engage in collaborative research at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary. Prokai received this prestigious recognition based on his academic and professional achievement and demonstrated leadership in chemistry education.

This second award allows Prokai to continue the work he began at Semmelweis University during his first Fulbright trip in 2023, but this time with a broadened scope. He will spend six weeks teaching a didactic course entitled “Chemistry to Medicine: Innovative Teaching of Drug Discovery” in the university’s PhD program. During his time in Budapest, Prokai will also participate in established research collaborations and explore opportunities to foster new ones.
