  • Be either a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident
  • Demonstrate English language skills
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher from a regionally accredited U.S. university or college before enrollment
  • Provide U.S. course equivalency documentation for any college credit earned from institutions outside of the U.S.

Recommended preparation courses 

Applicants are encouraged (but not required) to complete these courses before enrollment:

  • Human Physiology or Anatomy and Physiology
  • Foundations of Health Education
  • Basic Human Nutrition and Health
  • Introduction to Psychology or Human Behavior

  • Application/processing fee: $88 (Current UNT Health students and employees are eligible for a fee waiver.)
  • Official transcripts from U.S. and English-Canadian accredited institutions
  • Applicants with foreign and French-Canadian credits will be required to submit a WES International Credential Advantage Package (ICAP) course-by-course evaluation.
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • One letter of recommendation from a person other than friends or family members who can speak to your performance in an academic or professional setting.

    • Sept. 15, 2025: Application opened in GradCAS.
