The Healthy Smiles Project and Event is a collaboration between UNT Health Fort Worth and Texas Woman’s University Dental Hygiene Clinic. Our goal is to increase HPV Vaccination in Denton County. This initiative is supported by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center |
Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination prevents SIX types of cancers, including oral cancers! The vaccine is recommended for adolescents as young as 11-12 years old. Unfortunately, not all teens are getting the cancer prevention they need. Rates of HPV vaccine uptake are lower in Texas and in Denton County and may be worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic.

- Location: Texas Woman’s University Dental Hygiene Clinic, MCL Building 1200-1242 N Bell Ave, Denton, TX 76209
- We’re inviting you to sign up for a free clinic where your children, ages 9-17, can receive a dental cleaning and the HPV vaccine.
- Want to schedule a dental cleaning? Register and complete the forms for dental care.
- Want to schedule for the HPV vaccine? Pre-register your child for the HPV vaccine. Please bring your child’s immunization records to the event.
