WHY DID YOU CHOOSE UNT Health COLLEGE OF PUBLIC HEALTH?
I chose UNTHSC College of Public Health because I was inspired by a senior who studied
here and shared her incredible experiences with me. Her journey at this university
really showcased the opportunities and growth it offers, and her enthusiasm made a
lasting impression on me. Although I couldn’t visit the campus in person as I was
back in India, I was able to see the university through her perspective, which made
me feel connected to it. Knowing that UNTHSC provides a well-structured and robust
Biostatistics curriculum solidified my decision, as it aligned perfectly with my academic
and career aspirations.
HOW DO YOU PLAN ON APPLYING THE KNOWLEDGE YOU GAIN TO YOUR FUTURE CAREER?
I have always been passionate about combining my mathematical skills with the medical
field, which is why I chose to study Biostatistics. My interest is in analyzing and
interpreting complex healthcare data to identify patterns and insights that can improve
patient outcomes and public health policies. I aim to work on designing and analyzing
clinical trials, evaluating the effectiveness of new drugs or treatments, and contributing
to evidence-based medical decisions. This approach will allow me to bridge the gap
between data and healthcare, making a meaningful impact in the field of medicine.
