UNT Health receives Best Place for Working Parents for sixth time
For the sixth time, UNT Health Fort Worth has been recognized as a Best Place for
Working Parents®. This distinction highlights UNT Health’s commitment to providing
comprehensive, family friendly benefits for all employees.
“Being named a Best Place for Working Parents six times is both an honor and a responsibility we deeply value. At the heart of this recognition is our commitment to our people—supporting them not only in their work, but in their lives beyond it,” said Jeanie Foster, chief culture officer at UNT Health. “We are proud to create an environment where parents can succeed in their roles while feeling supported in caring for their families. It is a privilege to walk alongside them in both.”
The Best Place for Working Parents initiative recognizes businesses for prioritizing family friendly policies. Organizations can earn this designation through an online self-assessment that evaluates companies on the top 10 research-backed policies that support both business success and working parents.
UNT Health’s benefits include company-paid medical insurance for employees and partial coverage for dependents, paid time off, flexible work arrangements, onsite childcare and pre-tax savings accounts for children. Five lactation rooms are also available to support nursing moms.
The Priority Care Clinic on campus allows same or next-day health appointments for employees and their families. The Employee Assistance Program offers support for family, legal, financial or personal concerns. It includes up to six free counseling sessions per topic per year.
SmartDollar is another resource for employees. This financial wellness program gives employees and their families access to tools and guidance to achieve their financial goals. Since 2020, SmartDollar has helped UNT Health employees achieve more than $6 million in financial turnaround.
