Styx to headline 2025 UNT Health Legends Benefit Concert

Styx Photologo 1x1Legendary rock band Styx will headline the 2025 Legends Concert Series, UNT Health Fort Worth’s signature fundraising event benefiting student scholarships.

Presented by JPMorganChase, the concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at Bass Performance Hall, 525 Commerce St., in downtown Fort Worth. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Since its inception in 2013, the Legends Concert Series has raised more than $3 million to support UNT Health Fort Worth initiatives. Proceeds from the 2025 event will go toward scholarships for students pursuing degrees in healthcare.

This year’s concert is co-chaired by Fort Worth residents Michele and Fred Reynolds, and Jill and Quintin Cassady. Quintin currently serves as an officer of UNT Health’s Foundation Board of Directors, and Michele Reynolds is an emeritus director.

“This is a rare chance to experience a legendary band while supporting future healthcare professionals who will shape the well-being of our communities,” Quintin said. ”We hope everyone will join us for an unforgettable night at Bass Hall.”

Known for its chart-topping hits and enduring stage presence, Styx has captivated audiences for more than five decades. With iconic songs such as “Come Sail Away,” “Mr. Roboto,” “Too Much Time on My Hands,” “Lady,” “Renegade” and “The Grand Illusion,” the band continues to perform nearly 100 shows a year around the world. The band’s latest album, “Circling From Above,” was released July 18 to critical acclaim.

Styx’s current lineup includes James “JY” Young, Tommy Shaw, Chuck Panozzo, Todd Sucherman, Lawrence Gowan, Will Evankovich and Terry Gowan.

Past Legends’ headliners have included Three Dog Night, Little River Band, Christopher Cross, Air Supply, ZZ Top, Trisha Yearwood, Dwight Yoakam, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Chicago, Vince Gill, Jay Leno and Clint Black.
