Country music stars Wynonna Judd and Mickey Guyton will perform at UNT Health Fort Worth’s 2027 Legends Concert Series on Feb. 12 at Bass Performance Hall.

Five-time Grammy Award winner Wynonna Judd will make her Legends Concert Series debut Feb. 12, headlining UNT Health Fort Worth’s signature fundraiser supporting student scholarships. Four-time Grammy-nominated country artist Mickey Guyton will join Judd for the event.

Presented by JPMorganChase, the concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Bass Performance Hall, 525 Commerce St., in downtown Fort Worth. Tickets will go on sale on Friday.

Since its inception in 2013, the Legends Concert Series has raised more than $3 million to support UNT Health Fort Worth initiatives. Proceeds from the 2027 event will go toward student scholarships.

The benefit concert’s event chairs are Rosa Navejar and Charles Reid, with UNT Health President Kirk Calhoun and his wife, Jeanette, serving as honorary chairs. Navejar worked in banking and is president of The Rios Group. She is an officer on UNT Health’s Foundation Board of Directors. Reid is a retired Fort Worth based real estate agent and attorney.

“Having country music icon Wynonna Judd as the headliner of this year’s Legends Concert is very exciting for Fort Worth and UNT Health,” Navejar said. “This concert is a great opportunity for our community to come together and support our students as they chase their dreams. I hope everyone will join us for an unforgettable night at Bass Hall.”

For the first time, the 2027 Legends Concert Series will be part of a concert tour. Judd is on tour promoting her new album, “The Hard Truth.” The album’s music focuses on her challenging relationship with her mother and the life and self she has now built. It marks the 10th solo album of her career.

Prior to launching her solo career, Judd performed from 1983 to 1991 with her mother, Naomi, as The Judds. She has since released nine albums and more than 20 singles, including four No. 1 hits on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart —“No One Else on Earth,” “She is His Only Need,” “I Saw the Light” and “To Be Loved by You.”

In 2022, Judd was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame as a member of The Judds. She has received more than 60 industry honors, including an Academy of Country Music Award and the inaugural Country Champion Award at the 2023 People’s Choice Country Awards.

Texas native Mickey Guyton released her debut single, “Better Than You Left Me,” in 2015, earning an Academy of Country Music Awards nomination. Her song “Black Like Me” earned her first Grammy nomination and made her the first Black woman nominated in the Best Country Solo Performance category.

Past Legends’ headliners have included Styx, Three Dog Night, Little River Band, Christopher Cross, Air Supply, ZZ Top, Trisha Yearwood, Dwight Yoakam, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Chicago, Vince Gill, Jay Leno and Clint Black.
