Helping Kids Get Health Care
Many kids can’t get the health care they need because of different problems. The UNT Health Pediatric Mobile Clinic helps by giving free health care to kids in Fort Worth.
The clinic travels to schools, community centers, churches, and other places in Fort Worth. It has a special medical unit on wheels to help kids.
The mobile clinic travels to various locations in Fort Worth, including schools, community centers, churches, and community organizations. It operates from a state-of-the-art mobile medical unit. The clinic not only focuses on healthcare services but also addresses the social services needs of the children, including food, clothing, and shelter.
The Pediatric Mobile Clinic also serves as a practicum location for medical students, including those studying pediatrics. Students gain valuable experience and education by working with the clinic and serving diverse, equitable, and inclusive populations. The staff at the clinic is trained to provide the best and most up-to-date medical care available.
The Pediatric Mobile Clinic provides comprehensive medical care including:
- Well-child exams
- Sports physicals
- Sick visits
- Immunizations
- Laboratory testing
- An array of health screenings including: vision, hearing, dental, iron, lead & hemoglobin
- Flu Vaccines are now available and end when supplies run out.
