Pregnancy and Parenting
UNT Health is committed to providing an educational environment that is free from discrimination on the basis of pregnancy, pregnancy-related conditions, or parenting status, in accordance with Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972.
If a student is pregnant or parenting a child under the age of one who needs documented medical care and wishes to request reasonable related modifications from the University, the student can work with the Title IX office for reasonable modifications which have protections under Federal law.
In addition, pregnant and parenting students have additional rights under Texas State Laws. To learn more about modifications and resources for pregnant and parenting students, visit Pregnancy and Parenting for Students.
Students may request resources and/or reasonable modifications as a result of pregnancy, childbirth, or related conditions through the Pregnancy and Parenting form. Each submission is reviewed by the UNT Health Title IX Coordinator and the designated Pregnancy and Parenting Liaison Officer to determine what modifications may be reasonable to assist the student and provide them with resources.
