Meet the ECHO Team

Dr. Sarah Ross is a geriatrician and Assistant Professor at UNT Health, as well as the director of the Geriatrics Clerkship. A bilingual doctor, Dr. Ross enjoys taking care of Spanish-speaking patients. She is passionate about caring for individuals with Dementia and providing education and support to their families. She is board certified in family medicine, geriatrics and palliative care.

Dr. Hadley is the Director of Geriatrics at JPS where she completed her Family Medicine Residency and Geriatric Fellowship. Since 2005, she has also served as their Geriatric Fellowship Program Director. She continues to practice full-scope Family Medicine by taking call with Maternal-Child Health faculty along with seeing patients in the outpatient, inpatient, home, and long-term care settings.

 

Barb Harty has been a registered nurse for the last 25 years and is experienced in long-term care, acute care and ambulatory care. She currently holds national certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. She is also a Clinical Research Coordinator and has been lead coordinator for studies involving aging, including Alzheimer's, osteoarthritis, epilepsy and diabetes.

Dr. Brittany Love is a Geriatrician and Assistant Professor at UNT Health. She has experience providing care in community hospitals and long-term care settings in Dallas and Fort Worth. Dr. Love teaches medical students, residents and fellows. In addition to her clinic work, she provides care at several of Fort Worth's premier continuing care retirement communities. Her passion is providing holistic and compassionate care to seniors and their families.

Jane Oderberg has worked in the field of aging for the past 40 years in a variety of settings. She received her BA from the University of Pittsburgh and her Masters in Education in Counseling from Loyola University. She is a licensed social worker in Texas (LMSW) and also a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and a Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Trainer (CADDCT). She is currently a part time instructor and program coordinator at UNT Health with emphasis on working with caregivers of dementia patients. She has developed a program, Dementia CARES, a six week education and support program for those who are caring for someone with dementia, and facilitates a twice monthly caregiver support group.

Kristen Reuter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Approved Supervisor, with more than 10 years of experience working in the field of geriatrics. She currently serves as an instructor in the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and Director of Social Services for UNT Health Center for Older Adults. As a clinical social worker in the Center for Older Adults, she provides direct patient care to older adults and their caregivers as part of an interdisciplinary team. Additionally, Kristen is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer. She specializes in counseling individuals with dementia and their caregivers. Kristen's academic duties including teaching interprofessional health students in the clinical setting. She is a field instructor for the social work departments at UNT and TCU.

Dr. Kate Taylor is an experienced certified family nurse practitioner with 22 years in health care. She has primarily worked in the hospital setting to include serving as a critical care Army Nurse Corps officer. Kate last worked as a nurse practitioner in the hospitalist role for over a decade. She transitioned to the outpatient arena and is a new assistant professor for UNT Health, working in the geriatric department. Kate is active in the clinical education for students and provides advanced care planning for the clinical practice group. She is a provider for the house calls program. Kate is also a clinical executive for SaferCare Texas improving safety in care delivery. She recently earned the credentials for certified professional in patient safety (CPPS), which demonstrates proficiency in the core standards of patient safety.
