Elizabeth Kowalczyk Presentes At Ishi

During her first year as a PhD student, Elizabeth Kowalczyk presented a poster on Rapid DNA technologies research at the International Symposium on Human Identification (ISHI). Along with the poster she also participated in a student-led presentation focused on the RapidHIT ID Instrument, a system capable of generating STR profiles in about 90 minutes. The project examined the RapidHIT ID workflow with DNA collection card variables such as punch size, lancet use, sample placement, storage time, and wetting protocols . She is now working on expanding this research into publications.
