Give now: Dr. Martin Farias III Memorial Lectureship

The College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences at UNT Health is proud to announce the Dr. Martin Farias III Memorial Lectureship series.
The lectureship honors Martin Farias III, Ph.D., who graduated from CBTS in 2002. While at UNT Health, Dr. Farias helped co-found UNT Health’s Society for the Advancement of Latinos in Science student group. This organization later affiliated with a national organization and became the UNT Health chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS).
The lectureship will embody the values of UNT Health and continue the legacy of Dr. Farias by inviting experts in a broad field of whole health to UNT Health to share their research and expertise with our students, faculty, and staff.
Dr. Farias left a lasting impact on the College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences and our students, and we are thrilled to honor his memory with this lectureship.
