PharmD Program Overview
A focus on interprofessional, team-based learning

UNT Health College of Pharmacy produces professionals who embrace a team-based approach in caring for patients.
The program prepares student pharmacists for the future of pharmacy and cultivates leaders in healthcare through a student-centered learning experience, an innovative curriculum delivered by nationally acclaimed faculty, and collaborative interprofessional and experiential training.
The PharmD curriculum consists of:
PY1: 40 credit hours (includes Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE))
PY2: 38 credit hours (+ Electives), (includes Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE))
PY3: 25 credit hours (+ Electives), (includes Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE))
PY4: 42 credits – Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE)
