Scholarships and Awards
The UNT System College of Pharmacy offers awards and scholarships for incoming and current students. The college acknowledges the exceptional efforts and achievements of its students through a variety of awards and scholarships created in collaboration with sponsors and professional associations.
- Among the most affordable tuition rates in Texas, UNT System College of Pharmacy has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships and awards.
We’re offering academic awards and savings for candidates applying to enter the College of Pharmacy PharmD program. These awards are only for incoming PharmD students.
- PharmD applicants with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible for a $10,000 Dean’s Achievement Award. The scholarship will be spread over four (4) years, $2,500 per year.
- The Ken Hill Scholars Endowed Scholarship – Achievement Scholarship, PharmD: Applicants with an overall GPA of 2.70 – 2.99 are eligible for a $6,000 scholarship spread over four (4) years at $1,500 per year.
- APPLY EARLY to take advantage of these opportunities, as funds are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, until they are expended.

College of Pharmacy Outstanding Graduate Endowed Pharmacy Scholarship: $1,400 (award amount established annually)
A monetary award to a 4th year pharmacy student who demonstrates sustained leadership over the duration of their pharmacy school career, as demonstrated by community service, student governance, or professional advocacy.
CVS Health Foundation Scholarship: $1,000
A monetary award to a pharmacy student who has completed at least one semester of professional pharmacy school, is in good academic standing, is bilingual, and is interested in a career in community pharmacy practice.
Daniel Family Pharmacy Scholarship: award amount established annually
A monetary award to a pharmacy student meeting minimum entrance requirements and continuing academic performance standards (GPA > 2.5).
Division of Student Affairs (University) Scholarship: $1,800 (award amount established annually)
A monetary award open to all pharmacy students who meet satisfactory academic progress and maintain good academic standing.
Elaine and Myron Jacobson Scholarship: $2,250 (award amount established annually)
A monetary award to a pharmacy student who maintains full-time enrollment, meets minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards of UNT Health and College of Pharmacy, and who consistently embodies the ideals of caring and providing exceptional professional service to the community. Essay Required: Describe how the student embodies the ideals of caring and of providing exceptional professional service to the community.
Florence and Lester Tom Lee Endowed Pharmacy Scholarship: $1,400 (award amount established annually)
A monetary award to a full-time pharmacy student who exhibits academic excellence by achieving a minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA in undergraduate work and maintains a 3.2 GPA as a student at the College of Pharmacy. This student also consistently embodies the ideals of caring and of providing exceptional professional service to the community.
Levine Scholarship (University): $1,000 for 4 years
A monetary award open to incoming pharmacy students who are enrolled full-time at the College of Pharmacy and meet satisfactory academic progress/be in good academic standing.
Paul M. Perrone Pharmacy Scholarship: $2,000 (award amount established annually)
A monetary award to a pharmacy student enrolled full-time at the College of Pharmacy who is in good academic standing, achieves a GPA > 2.5, and embodies the ideas of caring and of providing exceptional professional service to the community.
Ron Jencopale/Tarrant County Pharmacy Association Endowed Scholarship: $1,500 (award amount established annually)
A monetary award to a pharmacy student achieving a GPA > 2.5, is a lifelong resident of Tarrant County, or Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, or is a current resident of Tarrant County who demonstrates a passion for the profession and providing exceptional professional service to the Tarrant County community.
Texas Pharmacy Foundation Scholarship: $1,000
Monetary awards for 2nd year to 4th year pharmacy students (as designated in the previous Fall semester) who are members of the Texas Pharmacy Association (TPA) and demonstrate financial need and potential to become a leader for Texas pharmacy.

Vaughn Construction Community Foundation Endowed Pharmacy Scholarship: $2,250 (award amount established annually)
A monetary award open to all pharmacy students meeting minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards of UNT Health and College of Pharmacy who consistently embody the ideals of caring and of providing exceptional professional service to the community.
Pharmacy and University Scholarships Awarding Process:
- Scholarships are reviewed and awarded by the UNT Health College of Pharmacy Student Scholarship Committee and may not be combined with other awards received within the academic year.
- Students are considered for scholarships based on the defined criteria for the respective scholarship. See each scholarship application for more details.
- Scholarship eligibility does not guarantee receipt of the scholarship.
