Yes, please visit this page to schedule a virtual advising session. If you have question(s) about a specific course please complete the course equivalency form to have a staff member from the Office of Admissions review the course in question.
Applicants are required to have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5 in required prerequisite coursework, including general education courses and math and science courses, complete PharmCAS application, submit two (2) letters of recommendation minimum, three (3) letters are encouraged, from individuals who can assess your potential for the program. Letters from friends, co-workers and family members will not be accepted and may result in an incomplete application. See Admission Requirements.
Yes, we accept prerequisite coursework from any U.S. accredited 2-year college.

Yes, we do accept coursework completed outside the U.S. to fulfill our prerequisites. Transcripts must be evaluated by WES. See information for "International Applicants" on this page. Email admissions@unthealth.edu with any questions.

Yes you may; there is no expiration date to prerequisite coursework required by our program.
No, you may apply before you complete your prerequisite coursework. If two-thirds (2/3) of your Math and Science prerequisite courses are not completed by the end of Fall semester, the Faculty Admissions Committee may not review your application until your Fall grades are posted. Please review prerequisite coursework requirements.
If they meet our prerequisite requirements, Advanced Placement (AP) credit, Dual Credit, and/or College Level Examination Program (CLEP) credit coursework that appears on the applicant’s official college or university transcript will count toward prerequisite coursework, if submitted by the required deadline.
No, but you must complete all necessary prerequisites.
Yes, an applicant can claim the General Education Prerequisites Exemption if they
have (or will complete in May of the matriculation year) a bachelor’s degree or higher
from an accredited U.S. college or university. To qualify for the exemption, an applicant
must graduate in May before matriculation in August.

General Education Prerequisites Exemption – If you have (or will complete in May of the matriculation year) a Bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, you may claim an exemption from the General Education Prerequisites. If you claim the General Education Prerequisites Exemption, then only your Math and Science prerequisite coursework will be included in the GPA calculation. IMPORTANT – Claiming the General Education Prerequisites Exemption is optional. If you choose to claim the General Education Prerequisites Exemption, you must have a 2.5 GPA or higher in your Math & Science coursework to be considered for an interview.
Math and Science prerequisites cannot be waived.
Yes, regardless of what degree you hold, you may apply. However, you must complete all prerequisite Math and Science courses before entry into the PharmD program.
