Histology adds new Tissue Processor

A laboratory mass spectrometry instrument with a touchscreen control panel mounted on top of a white cabinet unit. A sample tray and plate holder sit on the work surface, and the lower cabinet has a transparent door revealing storage compartments for reagent containers. The instrument is used for analyzing biological samples and identifying microorganisms in clinical or research laboratory settings.

The Histology Core has recently enhanced its tissue processing capabilities by acquiring the Tissue-Tek VIP 6 AI Vacuum Infiltration Processor. The Tissue-Tek VIP 6 AI system leverages advanced infiltration techniques and vacuum technology to optimize and streamline the tissue processing workflow. With this tissue processor, the Core can achieve rapid and efficient tissue infiltration, ensuring uniform distribution of processing reagents throughout the sample. The vacuum infiltration process improves the penetration of reagents into the tissue, resulting in improved quality and consistency of the processed samples. This advanced technology also offers enhanced control over processing parameters, allowing for precise customization based on the specific tissue types and experimental requirements. HSC researchers can now benefit from improved tissue quality, accelerated processing times, and increased reproducibility while obtaining higher-quality tissue samples enabling more accurate and reliable downstream analyses.
