Decentralized Interprofessional education (D-IPE) is defined as when faculty from varying colleges or schools come together to design, facilitate and control IPE that is fully embedded into a class or rotation. Often, the collaboration between colleges and schools are smaller (e.g., two to four professions coming together). Smaller collaborations can apply interprofessional collaborative practice content distinctly related to the instruction of a class or rotation.
