Message from Chair

Johnathan Tune 2019Welcome to the Department of Physiology and Anatomy at UNT Health Fort Worth! The department includes faculty from the Center for Anatomical Sciences and supports two graduated programs – Integrative Physiology and Structural Anatomy and Rehabilitation Sciences.  Our faculty study normal physiology and anatomy as diseases such as heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, obesity and sleep apnea. Research in the department is supported by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, the American Heart Association, and numerous private foundations. We are home to dedicated educators who support the teaching mission of the entire institution.  Through our innovative research and teaching, our students are prepared for careers as researchers, educators, and healthcare professionals.
