Tutoring
Tutoring is available for ALL UNT Health students, whether you attend classes on campus or online. Our tutors are UNT Health students and recent alumni. CAP offers individual, small group, drop-in, and large group tutorials based on need and tutor availability.
Drop-Ins and Large Group Tutorials (LGTs)
- Drop-Ins and Large Group Tutorials (LGTs) are open to everyone in the course.
- Tutoring sessions are announced via your class group page in the Center for Academic Performance (CAP) Canvas course.
- LGT recordings are posted to your CAP class group page in Canvas in case you miss the live session.
One-on-One and Small Group Tutoring
- Students interested in small group or individual tutoring must meet with a CAP Learning
Specialist first. Appointments can be scheduled through Symplicity.
- Approval for tutoring access will not be granted until you have attended classes.
- Tutoring access must be requested for each long semester.
- After meeting with a Learning Specialist, students approved for tutoring are granted access to the Tutor Network in Symplicity to self-schedule tutoring appointments with available tutors.
- Students are approved for up to two (2) 1-hour sessions per week for the duration of the semester. These sessions can be in person or virtual.
