Programmatic accreditors review and accredit specialized and professional programs, departments, or schools in a range of fields and disciplines within the higher education institution. These academic programs offered by UNT Health Fort Worth are evaluated and are currently accredited by their respective programmatic accreditor:
The UNT Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) is fully-accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation, which is the recognized accrediting agency for the approval of colleges preparing osteopathic physicians. TCOM is also approved by the Texas Medical Board and is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine.

The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to UNT Health Fort Worth Physician Assistant Program sponsored by UNT Health Fort Worth. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by ARC-PA will be September 2034. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy. The UNT Health Master of Health Administration Program has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) since 2013.
CAHME is an interdisciplinary group of educational, professional, clinical and commercial organizations devoted to accountability and quality improvement of education for healthcare management and administration professionals. The purpose of the CAHME accreditation process is to ensure that universities with health management programs properly prepare future leaders for successful careers in health management and health administration.
UNT Health’s Master of Health Administration degree is accredited by both the Department of Public Health’s accrediting agency, CEPH, and by the Program’s accrediting agency, CAHME.
The Department of Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
CEPH is an independent agency recognized by the US Department of Education to accredit schools of public health and public health programs offered in settings other than schools of public health. The Council’s focus is the improvement of health through the assurance of professional personnel who are able to identify, prevent and solve community health problems.

The baccalaureate degree program and master’s degree in Nursing Practice program at UNT Health are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791. CCNE’s Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs, effective Jan. 1, 2025, require continuous compliance with established national expectations throughout the accreditation period.
