What is telementoring and how is it used?

Telementoring involves the use of technology for delivery of professional training and education with a mentoring component. This allows for the expansion of quality HIV education to be spread across modalities in a more accessible method.

TAKE on HIV telementoring programs deliver evidence-based training methodology with built-in evaluation mechanisms providing information on both process and outcome evaluation essential for replicability and sustainability.

This approach, incorporating telementoring into our methodology will be taken by the TAKE on HIV for Health Professions Programs project. Telementoring assists with addressing the HIV workforce shortage by facilitating education and mentorship in HIV service provision at the national, state and regional levels and plays a central role in workforce development, recruitment, and retention.
