COMLEX-USA Performance Data
Administered by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME), the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing examination (COMLEX-USA) is a three-level standardized licensure examination designed to assess the competencies essential for practice as an osteopathic physician.
All Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) students are required to take COMLEX Level 1 prior to entering clinical clerkships. All TCOM students are required to take COMLEX Level 2-CE at the beginning of Year 4 of the curriculum. COMLEX Level 3 is administered during the graduate medical education portion of their training. In order to graduate from the TCOM, students must successfully pass Level 1 and Level 2-CE.
