Ph.D. candidate Bella Ruiz is leading research that is exploring a new approach to heat therapy that has the potential to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke by lowering blood pressure and improving blood vessel function in older adults.

The MOSAIC project will standardize and streamline the process of creating a biological profile — a critical tool forensic anthropologists use to narrow the potential identity of deceased individuals.
