Donations to Local Food Banks

Each garden plot is managed by a student, employee or community member, either individually or as part of a group. Since we started in 2014, a portion of the produce grown is donated to local food banks in support of community service efforts and to help address food insecurity.
In 2026, donations are currently delivered to the UNT Health Student Food Pantry every Wednesday by 10 a.m. at the Student Service Center. To date, the garden has donated more than 2,500 pounds of organically grown produce!

We are grateful to the following organizations for their generous support since our founding.
- Archie’s Gardenland
- Calloway’s Nursery
- Freehling’s Tree Service
- Four Star Cafe
- Harvest Supply
