Christa Lo, DHSc, MPAS, PA-C
TCOM Senior Associate Dean for PA Studies and Public Health
Dr. Lo is the Senior Associate Dean for PA and Public Health. She joined TCOM in March 2026 from the College of Health Professions. She brings extensive experience in teaching and leadership from 16 years in Physician Assistant education. As Program Director of the Red Rocks PA Program in Denver, CO, she converted the PA certificate program into the only Master’s degree program in a community college in the nation.
She is a site visitor and commissioner for the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant and facilitates Program Director workshops for the Physician Assistant Education Association. She has clinical practice experience in internal medicine, family medicine, military deployment and health assessments, and occupational medicine.
Jeffrey Beeson, DO, RN, EMT-P
Medical Director | Assistant Professor
Dr. Jeff Beeson serves as The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth’s medical director for the PA Program. He is also interim executive vice president for health systems and sits on the president’s cabinet. Additionally, he is the university’s vice president of clinical partnerships.
Beeson has spent more than 30 years working in public safety and population health. He started his career as an emergency medical technician working in rural Texas. After earning a degree in nursing, he became a paramedic and registered nurse working in emergency departments and with air medical flight programs. He later attended medical school at UNT Health’s Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to his duties on campus, he also manages the medical team for the state’s urban search and rescue department.

Lauren Dobbs, MMS, PA-C
Department Chair and Program Director | Associate Professor
PA Dobbs graduated from Wake Forest University in 2003 and Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2007. She has practiced in general pediatrics since 2007 and is the Director of the Pediatric Literacy Program at UNT Health Department of Pediatrics and Women’s Health. She has served in numerous leadership positions including Texas Academy of Physician Assistant (TAPA) President and Secretary-Treasurer for the American Academy of PAs (AAPA). She has been awarded the Department of PA Studies Preceptor of the Year Award six times and has received the TAPA Legislative Advocacy Award.

Jennifer Crumm, MSM, PA-C, RD

PA Crumm graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2010 receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. She completed a dietetic internship with Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, and became a registered dietitian in 2011. She graduated from the Graduate Physician Assistant Program at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN, in 2013, earning a degree of Master of Science in Medicine. She relocated to Fort Worth and spent six years in clinical practice, specializing in endocrinology. Prior to joining the wonderful faculty and staff at UNT Health, she had the privilege of being a clinical preceptor to several students from the UNT Health Physician Assistant Studies program. PA Crumm transitioned from clinical practice to academia when she joined UNT Health in 2020 as an Assistant Professor. She was appointed as Associate Program Director in April 2025.

PA Gentry graduated with honors from the University of North Texas Health Science Center Physician Assistant Program in 2012. She began her clinical career in a rural family medicine practice in Cleburne, Texas, and soon returned to UNT Health as a faculty member in the PA program.
In addition to her background in family medicine, PA Gentry has clinical experience in vascular and interventional radiology, having practiced at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
In addition to her appointment in the PA program, she currently serves as the Faculty Director of Accreditation within the University Assessment and Accreditation team. She is also pursuing a PhD in Higher Education Administration at Liberty University, with a focus on assessment and evaluation. PA Gentry contributes to the profession as a site visitor for the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
Vic Holmes, PA-C, MPAS, EdD
Associate Professor
PA Holmes currently teaches Evidence-Based Medicine, Master’s Project and a range of other medical topics at UNT Health. He also conducts Ally and LGBTQ+ Relations training across the U.S. and is currently conducting a Transgender Health Needs Assessment Research Project across the state of Texas. His clinical work has ranged from family medicine across several specialties and most recently involved providing home-based medical care for the mentally and physically challenged. He graduated from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program in 2000 and retired honorably from the Air Force after 22 years of service. He is the faculty advisor for the UNT Health Pride (LGBTQ+) Student Group and is completing the Dissertation for his Doctorate in Education specializing in Distance and Computer-based Learning. He spends his free time with his husband baking bread and animating squeaky toys for his adorable beagles.

Jeffrey Mott DHSc, PA-C

Dr. Mott received his Bachelor of Science degree as a Physician Assistant (PA) from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 1996 in collaboration through the Army Physician Assistant Program. Three years later he received a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He later went on to complete an orthopedic fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center with a follow on ortho assignment in Colorado. In 2008, Dr. Mott retired from active duty Army and settled in San Antonio, Texas, where he continued to serve the military as a Department of Defense civilian instructor at the Academy of Health Sciences, Army Medical Department Center & School at Fort Sam Houston. In 2012, he received a Doctor of Health Science degree from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FL. In January 2014, after six years of training military physician assistants in predeployment trauma medicine, he accepted his current faculty appointment at the UNT Health Science Center Physician Assistant Studies Program.
Dr. Mott is the course director for the musculoskeletal, geriatrics and Senior Seminar courses as well as the elective 4 clinical rotations. He serves the UNT Health as a member of the Faculty Bylaws & Policies Committee, the Faculty Grievance Committee and Chair of the School of Health Professions Promotion & Tenure Committee. Within the PA program, he serves as a member of the Student Performance Committee and the Admissions Committee. He also serves on the Students Affairs Committee for the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.

PA Olson is an honors graduate of the UNT Health Physician Assistant Program Class of 2012. Following graduation, she practiced in the fields of orthopedics, neurosurgery, and diagnostic and interventional radiology in Fort Worth. She joined the faculty of UNT Health in 2024 as an assistant professor. Her responsibilities include directing the neurology course and overseeing part of the Clinical Integrated Medicine series.

Associate Professor
PA Womack graduated from Touro College in 2001 with a baccalaureate in Physician Assistant Studies, followed by a Surgical Residency for PAs at Montefiore Medical Center and an MBA from George Washington University in 2014. She has worked in various surgical subspecialties across New York, Southern California and Texas, with much of her experience focused on complex plastic and reconstructive surgery.
PA Womack joined the faculty at UNT Health in 2018 and previously served as the Director of Clinical Education. She is a Faculty Senate Past President and currently serves as Executive Director of Faculty Success in the Office of the Provost.
In addition to her academic and clinical contributions, PA Womack has traveled extensively and volunteered internationally, including service with the medical mission organization Amazon Promise in Iquitos, Peru, in 2007.

Aderonke Dosumu, PA-C

PA Dosumu graduated from D’Youville University in 2009 with a B.A. in Biology. She attended the Graduate Program at D’Youville University in Buffalo, New York, from which she graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science/Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She worked as a pediatric hospitalist and an outpatient before joining UNT Health in 2015 to practice Internal Medicine and Family Medicine at UNT Health Clinical Practice Group. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Health Services Management, with plans to graduate in December 2025. She is very passionate about the underserved community and teaching future clinicians.

Sean Green, PA-C

Sean Green, PA-C, is the current Texas Panhandle Regional Hub Coordinator for UNT Health Physician Assistant Program. Green has been practicing in Canyon, Texas, since 2005 in both family practice and urgent care. Prior to his position as senior mid-level provider for Family Medicine Center and Carexpress of Amarillo and Canyon, Texas, he practiced emergency medicine in Dalhart and family practice in Seymour, Texas. A 1992 graduate from Wichita State University Physician Assistant Program, Green has been working with UNT since 2023.
Kristine Kucera, PA-C, MPAS, DHS
Adjunct Assistant Professor/Regional Hub Coordinator-Prairies and Lakes Region
Dr. Kristine Kucera is a certified physician associate at Lockhart Matter Dermatology in Prosper, Texas. She is clinically involved with the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of general dermatologic patients and has been practicing in the Dallas area for more than 25 years. She has a particular interest in the treatment of systemic inflammatory diseases and is considered a national key opinion leader in Psoriasis and Atopic Dermatitis.
Dr. Kucera attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies and completed her Master of Science degree through the University of Nebraska Physician Assistant Program where she specialized in Dermatology. Her Doctorate of Health Science degree was awarded in mid-2006 at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
She lectures nationally on several dermatologic conditions, has had publications in peer reviewed journals, and is currently serving as a Clinical Advisor to the Dermatology Education Foundation. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and has served two terms as President of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
She serves as a part time Regional Hub Coordinator for the Prairies and Lakes Region of Texas.

Ms. Gardner is the Clinical Site Coordinator for the program. She works to recruit and retain clinical sites and preceptors for our students.

Shelley Helton
Administrative Coordinator
Ms. Helton serves as an Administrative Coordinator for the PA program, providing essential support to faculty, managing didactic scheduling and assisting with various course-related tasks. She supports the didactic phase of the program and plays a crucial role in assisting with OSCEs, labs and admissions interviews. As a valued member of the Administrative Professionals Team, Ms. Helton has been part of the PA program since 2016, contributing to its continued success.
